About.

In my woodworking business, every piece tells a story—one crafted with intention, care, and passion. The works I create are more than just functional; they have the ability to enrich our spaces, reflect our values, and connect us to the craftsmanship of the past. My craft is guided by a belief in creating objects that are a harmonious blend of beauty, functionality, and durability—pieces that are built to stand the test of time and become a part of the lives and stories of those who use them.

As a professionally trained artist with a deep passion for wood, I approach every project as an opportunity to tell a story. Whether it’s the grain of locally sourced timber or the subtle details that echo a client’s vision, my furniture embodies a harmony of creativity and intention. Sustainability is also very important to my practice. Whenever possible, I work with environmentally responsible materials, ensuring that my craft respects and preserves the natural world.

Background.
What makes my business unique is the journey that has shaped my skills, perspective, and approach to woodworking. As a female artisan in a traditionally male-dominated field, I bring a fresh voice and a distinctive sense of purpose to my craft. My journey with wood began with the art of wooden boat shipbuilding—a discipline that demands precision, resilience, and a deep understanding of how materials interact with their environment. This experience taught me the value of meticulous craftsmanship, an immense respect for the strength and capabilities of wood.

In addition to my experience as a shipwright, I hold a Master’s degree in contemporary fine art, which enriches my work with a creative and conceptual dimension. My background in gives me a unique ability to see beyond the practical, approaching woodworking with the sensitivity and vision of an artist. This dual perspective—grounded in the technical rigor of marine craftsmanship and the innovative spirit of contemporary art—allows me to create pieces that are both well-crafted and creative.
My workshop is located in a former shipyard and wooden boat school, a place steeped in history and tradition, and a place that is very dear to my heart. This setting not only inspires my work but also fuels my mission to keep the legacy of craftsmanship alive. By transforming this space into a shop for custom woodworking, I’m breathing new life into its purpose and preserving its spirit.
